George Lucas' Truly Inpirational Education and Instructional Design and Technology Site

If you're an educator or instructional designer or just love technology, learning and creativity, do yourself a favor and feast your eyes and ears on this site: Edutopia.

George Lucas (yes, that George Lucas, acclaimed director, writer and producer) never really liked school when growing up, and part of the reason was because instructional theory, assessment, and technology were simply not yet evolved enough to truly engage all types of learners.  But don't take it from me - watch and listen Lucas as he talks about in this brief video.

That video in the About Edutopia part of the website gives a great sense of George Lucas' vision in education and instruction.  Countless other videos of creative student and teacher projects, media and technologies and an active, informed community truly bring the site to life and make it especially inspirational for any educator or instructional designer.

So take a trip over to and explore Edutopia - you'll likely find yourself both delighted and inspired several times over.  Don't forget to tell me about your favorite part of the trip!
